Virgil van Dijk will be fit to face Southampton tomorrow night.

The Dutchman picked up a knock towards the end of Sunday’s 2-1 win over Tottenham at Anfield, but manager Jurgen Klopp revealed yesterday that the centre-back will be fit to face the Saints.

Klopp also said his side had no fresh injury concerns ahead of the away trip to St Mary’s.

“Yes, it looks quite good,” Klopp said.

“No major concerns, actually, so we have to see until the matchday obviously but after the [Spurs] game you’re probably thinking about Virg. He trained normal, everything OK.

“Yesterday [Tuesday] we only had a second recovery session but he was involved in that and I heard nothing different that he could maybe not train today. No, it looks all OK.”
