Former Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso says he has dreamt of being able to manage the Reds one day, as the Spaniard looks to begin his journey into football coaching.

Having spent time at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich following his departure from Liverpool, Alonso decided to retire at the end of last season and is now looking to begin his journey as a coach.

In an interview with Guillem Balague, Alonso has revealed that he has dreamt of being able to manage Liverpool one day, reiterating his ‘link, his commitment and his passion’ for the club.
