For the second time this week, Liverpool named two XI’s for each half in a pre-season friendly as they drew 1-1 with Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium.

First half: Mignolet, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Klavan, Henderson, Lallana, Woodburn, Salah, Coutinho, Firmino

Second half: Karius, Gomez, Stewart, Lovren, Milner, Wijnaldum, Grujic, Chirivella, Solanke, Sturridge, Origi

The name that jumped off the team sheet for Liverpool fans was Mohamed Salah. The club’s marquee signing was set to start for the Reds and make his debut, all he needed was a goal to cap it off and boy did he deliver.

The Reds remain undefeated so far in their pre-season preparation, and next up for is the trip to Hong Kong where Klopp’s men will take part in the Premier League Asia Trophy, where the first opponents are Crystal Palace.
