Andy Robertson will not feature for Scotland against Kazakhstan this week after being advised to undergo a dental operation, according to the Echo.

The trip to Kazakhstan will involve an eight-hour flight for the Scotland team, but their captain will not make the trip.

He could, however, be available for the journey to San Marino on Sunday.

The left-back trained with the Scotland squad in Glasgow but has been ruled out of the Euro 2020 qualifier on Thursday.

Robertson has been an ever-present for Liverpool this season, putting in a string of superb performances down the left-hand side for the Reds.

His manager will be pleased to hear that he’ll be spared the grueling journey to Kazakhstan as the Reds enter the final phase of what’s been an exciting season.
