The Premier League season finished over two weeks ago now, but some of Liverpool’s loanees have still been in action, with both Brooks Lennon and Andre Wisdom featuring in the last week. Our loan correspondent Jake Ware has the lowdown.

Brooks Lennon, Real Salt Lake

The USA U20s continued their World Cup campaign this week, cruising to a 6-0 victory over New Zealand in the Last 16 on Thursday. Brooks Lennon scored his side’s third goal, assisted the fourth, and was named Man of the Match for his performance.

On Sunday, the USA were knocked out, after losing 2-1 in extra time to Venezuela in the quarter final. Lennon played the whole 120 minutes, earning an assist on Jeremy Ebobisse’s 117th minute consolation goal. After an impressive World Cup campaign in which the forward scored two goals in five games, Lennon returns to Real Salt Lake, who face former Reds youngster Daniel Trickett-Smith’s Sacramento Republic in the US Open Cup on Thursday.
