Liverpool are preparing to do battle with Arsenal and Manchester United for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, according to Euro United.

The French forward is valued at around £40million and could be set to leave Lyon after just one season.

Dembele has scored 22 goals in all competitions for the French side since joining from Celtic just last summer.

However, he could be on the verge of a switch to the Premier League, with at least three top sides hovering.

Liverpool are in the market for a striker despite suggestions that they won’t spend heavily this transfer window, with Daniel Sturridge departing and Divock Origi’s future still uncertain.

Paris Saint-Germain have also shown interest in Dembele but Lyon would prefer not to sell to a league rival.
