Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing 18-year-old Mallorca youngster Víctor de Baunbag.
The striker is of Cameroonian origin but was born in Madrid, and has spent his entire career playing for Mallorca, where he has regularly finished each season as top scorer for the youth side.
Spanish outlet Sport claim that de Baunbag is the “ideal” centre-forward for the Premier League due to his physical attributes. The youngster stands 1.91m tall, making him hard to defend against, and is considered a “pure, powerful 9” positionally. He will reportedly play frequently for Mallorca’s first team this season.
Liverpool have reportedly made de Baunbag aware of their interest in him and may pursue him in the summer.
Whether or not Jurgen Klopp will look to sign another young forward with Dominic Solanke already not able to break back into the first team squad and Divock Origi on the way out remains to be seen.
However, Liverpool have often come up short this season in the striking department, and some fresh blood may help boost the squad for the start of next season.
The Reds have already been linked to a host of new players this year, with Lyon’s Nabil Fekir and PSG’s Adrien Rabiot two names that refuse to be shaken off.
