Shamal George was the only Liverpool loanee in club action this week, with Divock Origi making a brief appearance at international level.

Shamal George, Carlisle United

Shamal George made another start on Wednesday, with Carlisle hosting Fleetwood Town in the EFL Trophy. Carlisle lost 1-2, but still qualified for the 2nd Round after finishing second in Northern Group A.

On Saturday, Carlisle beat Yeovil 4-0. George was an unused substitute.

Toni Gomes, Forest Green Rovers

Forest Green drew 1-1 at Crawley on Saturday. Toni Gomes was not named in the squad.

Jordan Williams, Rochdale

Rochdale drew 1-1 against Blackburn Rovers in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday, before winning on penalties and ending up top of their group. Jordan Williams was not involved.

Rochdale’s Saturday clash with Wigan was postponed due to international call ups.

International Break Roundup

Divock Origi made a cameo appearance for Belgium in their 3-3 draw against Mexico on Friday, coming on for Romelu Lukaku after 88 minutes.

Allan Rodrigues de Souza, Taiwo Awoniyi, Pedro Chirivella, Ryan Kent, Sheyi Ojo, and Connor Randall were not in action this week.
