Liverpool are one of many teams eyeing up a summer move for Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to French publication Le Parisien.

The report goes as far as saying that the Reds would be willing to pay €70m to secure the services of the Gabon striker, with the player open to a move to Anfield.

Aubameyang has been one of Europe’s top strikers for a number of years now and it’s claimed he is looking for a new challenge after Borussia Dortmund’s very mixed 2016/17 campaign.

As you’d expect, a host of Europe’s top sides, including Real Madrid, PSG and Manchester City have all been strongly linked with the striker, who celebrated his 28th Birthday on Sunday.

Jürgen Klopp brought Aubameyang to Dortmund from Saint Etienne in 2013 and the striker has scored an incredible 85 goals in 128 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit, with 40 goals in 46 appearances last season.

Could the Reds be eyeing this transfer as their statement of intent this summer?
