Liverpool are set to welcome back Joe Gomez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after the international break, according to the Echo.
Jurgen Klopp will receive a massive boost when the two young England internationals return to contention after recovering from injuries.
Gomez suffered a fractured leg in December against Burnley, while Oxlade-Chamberlain damaged his knee ligaments against Roma towards the end of last season.
Their manager provided an update on their fitness recently.
“Very positive,” said Klopp. “Joe is not even in the everyday updates (on players who are out), so that is all positive.
“We all expect him to be back after the international break – in full training, and then we will see how long it takes.”
Klopp also confirmed that Oxlade-Chamberlain will be “100 percent fit” after the international break, meaning the Reds will have two fresh additions to a squad which is still competing on two major fronts.
Gomez may have to bide his time before partnering Virgil van Dijk in defence again as Joel Matip is currently in good form, but Oxlade-Chamberlain could slot straight back into midfield to cover for the injured Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita, and to give the likes of James Milner and Gini Wijnaldum a much-needed break.
