Harry Wilson has revealed the details of a text message that he received from Jurgen Klopp and how it’s a great boost to know the Liverpool manager hasn’t forgotten about him.

The Reds are enjoying what could turn out to be a historic campaign come the end of the season, with the Anfield outfit very much in with a shout of winning the Premier League title for the first time since its inception.

Wilson, who is on loan at Derby County, is enjoying a personally memorable season and has scored 10 goals in 25 games for the Rams.

The Welshman told the Daily Mail: “A couple of weeks ago there was another message saying, “Good result, good goal — keep going.

“When you get those texts, it is a massive boost. You know you aren’t forgotten.”

When asked about his future with the Reds, however, Wilson added: “The main focus this season is to get promoted with Derby but my goal is to play for Liverpool.

“I have always felt like a Liverpool player. Everything is going along the right path.”
