Dejan Lovren has been linked with a move away from Anfield this summer, with AC Milan keen on securing his services.
The Croatian centre-back has fallen down the pecking order this season, with Joel Matip now favourite to partner Virgil van Dijk at the back and Joe Gomez returning to contention.
Milan are eager to sign Lovren as they look to overhaul their entire team this summer, with the 29-year-old viewed as a good prospect for the Serie A giants.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan are in for a summer of transition, with Frederic Massara ready to take over as sporting director and Marco Giampaolo set to be named manager.
Lovren is reportedly top of the Italian club’s wishlist, with the club looking to pair him up with Alessio Romagnoli at the back.
Liverpool may not be in a rush to let him go, however, as both Matip and Gomez were out for long spells this season with injury, leaving Fabinho as the only other ‘centre-back’ option at times.
Lovren has two years left on his current deal with the option to extend it by a further 12 months.
