Connor Randall has returned to Liverpool after his loan spell with Rochdale.

The right-back played only the one league game for Rochdale this season due to a cheekbone injury.

Liverpool are somewhat short on options at right-back, but it does not appear that Randall is in Jurgen Klopp’s plans for the remainder of the season.

Randall has not been able prove himself in numerous loan deals and has not done enough during his time at Anfield.

Rochdale Football Club released the following statement regarding the expiry of the loan: “We can confirm that Connor Randall is back at Liverpool, having rejoined his parent club upon the end of his loan spell at Rochdale.

“Due to injury, including a fractured cheekbone, Randall’s time on the pitch was limited to just three appearances while at the Crown Oil Arena.
