The Colombian has struggled with injury this season but has warned Liverpool that he is feeling better and better as each game passes by and that he is looking forward to the clash at Anfield next week.

Liverpool came agonisingly close to winning the Champions League last season but fell at the final hurdle after losing 3-1 to Real Madrid in Kiev but Klopp’s side are in the knockout stages once again and will be hoping to go one better this season.

Bayern Munich’s James Rodriguez has told German press that he is looking forward to playing Liverpool but issues a veiled warning to his opponents as he said he is getting back to his best after a knee injury.

“I’m very much looking forward to facing Liverpool,”James told Bild.

“You can’t make mistakes in these games, but I think we can cause Liverpool problems. We have a team that’s good enough to go through if it goes well.

“I think I had a good game against Schalke.

“I’m feeling better all the time. I was out for nearly three months. I’m providing more quality with each game, but I can still play better.”
