Andy Robertson believes that Liverpool would normally be first after an unbeaten start in the Premier League which carried through to the beginning of December.

The 2018-19 Premier League season has been Liverpool’s best ever start to a league campaign, but the Reds currently sit two points behind Manchester City despite going 15 games unbeaten.

Despite this, Robertson believes if Liverpool keep pushing the Citizens, then anything can happen in terms of winning the Premier League title.

Robertson told Sky Sports: “When you look at it and say ‘you’d be unbeaten at the start of December’, you [think] you’d be at the top of the league – but we’re not. We’re still chasing City.

“It’s been a good start for us, and we need to keep going, keep focusing on what we’re doing instead of looking at anyone else.

“We’re controlling what we’re doing right now, and if we keep putting the pressure on City, I’m sure it will go right to the end.”
