Taiwo Awoniyi, NEC Nijmegen
With the Eredivisie on international break, NEC Nijmegen took on De Graafschap in a behind-closed-doors friendly this week. Taiwo Awoniyi, who has struggled for goals in the Netherlands, scored NEC’s only goal in a 1-1 draw.
Cameron Brannagan, Fleetwood Town
Cameron Brannagan returned to the Fleetwood Town first XI on Saturday, as the Cod Army travelled to take on Bury. The game finished 0-0, with Brannagan lasting 64 minutes before being replaced by Ashley Hunter. Fleetwood host Lloyd Jones and Swindon next weekend.
Jack Dunn, Tranmere Rovers
Tranmere Rovers won two National League games this week, beating North Ferriby United 4-1 in the first game, and Braintree Town 1-0 in the second. Jack Dunn returned from injury to feature on the bench against North Ferriby, although he did not make an appearance. He was not in the squad against Braintree.
Ryan Fulton, Chesterfield
Ryan Fulton continued on the Chesterfield bench this week, with his side falling 3-1 at home to Rochdale. With six games to play in the League One season, Chesterfield are 10 points from safety in the relegation zone.
Lloyd Jones, Swindon Town
Out-of-favour centre-back Lloyd Jones returned to the Swindon substitutes bench this weekend, but only after a late injury forced a change in the starting XI. He did not make an appearance as Swindon beat Millwall 1-0.
Brooks Lennon, Real Salt Lake
Brooks Lennon completed another 90 minutes for Real Salt Lake on Saturday, as the Utah side battled to a 0-0 draw with New York Red Bulls. Lennon had another good game, providing his team with plenty of energy and pace down the wing, and was the only RSL attacking player to last the full game. RSL face Minnesota United next weekend.
Serbia took on Georgia in a World Cup qualifier on Friday, winning 3-1. Lazar Markovic spent the game on the bench.
Danny Ward joined youngsters Harry Wilson and Ben Woodburn on the bench, as Wales battled to a 0-0 draw with the Republic of Ireland on Friday.
